2023 苏州 五市三区高三 英语 期中 试题 答案
五市三区09届高三第一学期期中考试试卷 英语听力材料及参考答案 2023.11 听力材料 Text 1 W: May I see your ticket, please I think you are sitting in my seat. M: Oh, you’re right. My seat is in the balcony. I’m terribly sorry. Text 2 W: Listen to me, Joe, the exam is already a thing of the past. Just forget about it. M: That’s easier said than done. Text 3 W: What about your chemistry class this morning, Paul M: We were supposed to have a chemistry class, but Mr. Anderson was out of town for a meeting. So we had a history lesson instead. Text 4 M: Think it over carefully, you must have left it somewhere. W: But the problem is that I have to have it now. I need it to use my car, and when I get home, to open the door. Text 5 M: Here you are at last. We’ll be late and Mary will be upset. W: I’m sorry, John. I had to finish my work at hand, and then buy a birthday present for Mary on the way. Text 6 M: So you say you had your handbag stolen this afternoon. About what time W: It must have been three hours ago, about four o’clock. I was doing my shopping when a fellow suddenly seized my bag and ran off. M: Is there anything valuable inside the bag W: Not really. But the bag itself is an expensive one—it cost me about $500. M: And are you able to recognize the man W: I did a quick look at him. He was tall, bearded, and he had dark brown hair. I’m sure I’d recognize him if I saw him again. M: OK, I just need to find out a few more details before we take action. Text 7 M: Hello. May I send a parcel to Toronto here W: Yes, what is inside your parcel M: Two shirts, a tie and a suit. W: By regular mail or air mail M: How long does it take to go by regular mail from here to Toronto And how long to go by air mail W: Ah--, it takes two weeks by regular mail, while it takes three or four days by air mail. M: How much for regular mail W: It depends on the weight of your parcel. Let me weigh it first. It’s three pounds and eight ounces, so it costs eleven dollars and twelve cents by regular mail and eighteen dollars and twenty five cents by air mail. M: By air, please. Here is the money. Text 8 W: Dad. Allowance day. Can I have my allowance M: Oh. I forgot about that. W: You ALWAYS forget. M: I guess I do. How much do I owe you W: Just $13. M: Thirteen dollars! Why do I owe you that much Just seems like I paid you the other day. W: No. You forget every Saturday, and it has been piling up. M: Well, I’m not sure if I have that much. W: Go to the bank. You have lots of money. M: Lots of money, uh Uh, well, I think the bank is closed. W: Then, what about your secret money jar under your bed M: Oh, I guess I could do that. So, what are you going to do with the money W: I’m going to put some in savings, give some to the poor people, and use the rest to buy books. M: Well, that sounds great, Joshua. Text 9 W: And how did you find Cambridge when you first arrived M: Well. I like it here. I think the city is very beautiful. W: What about your accommodation Was that OK M: Yes, OK. At first I stayed with a family for three months. They were very kind to me but they had three young children and I found it difficult to study. W: Right. I see. M: So after three months I moved out and now I live with two other students in a student house. It’s much cheaper and we like it there. W: Good, and what about your studies What are you studying M: I’m doing Computing. W: Computing. I see. Um, apart from the language difficulties, how have you found the course M: Well, the main difficulty for me is getting time on the computers in the computer room. It’s always busy and this makes it very hard to do my practical work. W: Can you reserve time in the computer room M: No, ... but it would certainly help if we could reserve computer time. W: Yes, I’ll look into that and see if something can be done to improve things over there. Text 10 John Steinbeck is one of America’s greatest writers. Many of his novels and short stories are about people with troubles and problems. “Travels with Charley〞 is different; it’s a book about traveling around the United States. John Steinbeck and Charley traveled together from New York to Maine and then to the Midwest. From the Midwest, they went west to California. On their way back east, they visited Texas. Finally, John and Charley traveled through the South, and back up north to New York. John Steinbeck’s journey took three months to complete. When he got home, he wrote about what he saw and heard when he crossed the country. He decided that Americans were wonderful people, and that the United States was full of peaceful towns, great cities, huge mountains, and beautiful parks. Charley seemed to enjoy the trip, although he didn’t say or write anything. You might wonder why Charley had no ideas about America. The reason is: he was John Steinbeck’s dog, a big black dog. 参考答案 听力 1—5 BCABC 6—10 BACBC 11—15 AABAC 16—20 BCCAB 单项 21—25 CDABD 26—30
