Specific Educational Objectives: The student should be able to:  1.describe the common causes of blood-borne hepatitis and how they are transmitted. know the common means of transmission and what people groups are more likely to be infected.  2. describe the major manifestations of this disease. Know what human cells the viruses replicate in.  3. diagnose (infected or not) and stage (acute, window period, chronic, infectious, etc.) hepatitis B via serological testing.
