1.Don’t forget to draw the sun.别忘了画太阳.
forget to do sth. “忘记做某事〞
foeget doing sth. “忘记做过某事〞
eg.Don’t forget to close the window before you leave.
离开之前别忘了关门。
He forgot closing the window, so he went back to close it again.
他忘了已经关上了门,所以又回去关了。
2.The seeds of the rice plant feed billions of people.
hundred, thousand, million, billion前出现具体数字时,本身用单数形式.
hundred, thousand, million, billion用做复数时, 表示一个笼统的概念,常与of连用.
eg. hundreds of(上百的…..), thousands of(上千的……), millions of(数百万的…..), billions of(数十亿的……),
3.In spring, people put covers over plants to keep them warm at night.
春天,人们晚上在植物上放置一些覆盖物来保持它们的温度.
cover…with… “覆盖,遮盖〞
be covered with…“被……覆盖着〞
eg.He covered his face with a scarf. 他用围巾盖着脸。
The house was covered with snow last night. 昨晚房子被雪覆盖。
keep sb. / sth. + adj. 使某人或某物处于某种状态“〞
eg.Please keep the classroom clean.请保持教室的干净。
4.One group sings the purple words and the other group sings the black words.
一组唱紫色字体的歌词,另一组唱黑色字体的歌词。
one… the other…“一个…..,另一个…..〞
She has two apples. One is red , the other is green.
她有两个苹果。一个是红的,另一个是绿的。
5.All plants take energy from the sun and make it into food.
所有的植物都从太阳那里得到能量,然后把它转化为食物。
make … into… “把……制成……〞
eg.We can make the tree into paper. 我们可以把树制成纸。
be made of…由(原料)制成

be made in…在(某地)制造

6.Docters use medicine to help sick people.医生用药来帮助病人。
1) use… to do sth.“用…..来做……〞
eg.We use the bottle to keep water. 我们用瓶子来乘水。
2) sick / ill“有病的,生病的〞 ,ill只做表语;sick可作表语,也可作定语。
eg.Tom is ill/ sick in bed. 汤姆生病在床。
This is a sick cat. 这是一只病猫。
6.Later, the head will turn into wheat seeds.后来,头部会变成麦粒。
turn into “变成〞
turn…into…“把……变成…..〞
eg.Water can turn into ice. 水可以变成冰。
Heat tuens water into vapor.热把水变成蒸汽。
(四) Grammar:简单句的五种根本句型
1.主语+不及物动词(Subject+Intransitive Verb)
eg. The boy is sitting.

2.主语+及物动词+宾语(Subject+Transitive Verb+Object)
eg.They want some books.

3.主语+系动词+表语(Subject+Link Verb+Predicative)
eg. Danny is happy. His mom looks young.

注:连系动词又叫系动词,与表语一起构成谓语,常用的有:be(是), seem(似乎), look(看起来), become(变成), get(变得), turn(变得), sound(听起来), feel(觉得), smell(嗅起来), taste(尝起来)等等。
4.主语+动词+间接引语+直接引语(Subject+Verb+Indirect Object+ Direct Object)
eg. I tell them an interesting story.

5.主语+动词+宾语+宾语补足语(Subject+ Verb+ Object+Complement)
eg. I made the baby happy.
