Book 1: Unit 10 Can you play the guitar 教案设计:邓艳(北京市海淀区教师进修学校附属实验学校) [设计思路] 本节课通过三个任务的完成,引导学生运用can谈论自己和他人的能力,在完成任务的过程中,综合运用目标语言,并通过与他人的合作交流,相互学习和帮助,在思想上得到提升。 任务一:能力的世界 这个任务让学生谈论自己的根本能力,了解同学的技能,让学生了解自我的价值,挖掘自我潜能,激发学生为学以致用,为他人效劳的意识。在完成任务的过程中运用情态动词can的肯定句,否认句,一般疑问句、特殊疑问句及肯定和否认答复,稳固目标语言,促进学生的相互学习,激发他们的成就感和进取心。 任务二:参加奥运志愿者俱乐部 通过学生以小组为单位讨论参加什么志愿者俱乐部,让学生运用目标语言what引导的特殊疑问句,并锻炼学生的合作能力和参加各种团队为他人效劳的意识。 任务三;我们能为奥运做什么 通过学生俱乐部小组活动写海报说明他们能为奥运做什么,把这个单元的语言目标落实到笔头上,并给学生提供了一个思考的空间和综合运用语言的时机, 并培养他们学以致用,乐于奉献的精神。 总之,这节课是本单元的第一课时,这三个任务的设计从根底开始层层递进,让学生在了解了自己能力的根底上通过组建奥运志愿者俱乐部表达自己的价值,相互帮助,学以致用,为他人效劳,为国家做出奉献。 Teaching Plan (First Period) Teacher 邓艳 Time 11.22 Title Unit 10 Can you play the guitar 教 学 目 标 语言目标 n 使用情态动词can表示能力 n 谈论喜好与意愿 能力目标 n 培养学生的交际能力 n 培养学生的合作学习能力 n 培养学生的写作能力 n 培养学生的团队精神 n 培养学生的演讲能力 跨学科学习 n 学会写海报 n 了解志愿者活动情况 语言结构 n 情态动词can的肯定, 否认句 n 情态动词can的一般疑问句, 特殊疑问句及肯定, 否认答复 n what引导的特殊疑问句 语言功能 n 谈论自己在某方面所具有的能力 n 谈论他人的能力 n 谈论我们能为他人做些什么 学习策略与 思维技巧 n 通过谈论自己的特长与爱好挖掘自身的潜力, 培养自信心 n 通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识 n 通过与同伴的合作, 共同为他人做事, 培养他们乐于奉献的精神 重点词汇 dance, swim, sing, play chess, paint, play the guitar, art, music, guitar, drum, piano, trumpet, violin T A S K S The main task: What can you do for the 2023 Olympic Games Task 2: Set up their own Volunteer Clubs for the Olympics Task 1: What can you do (Talk about what they can do) Task: 3: What can we do for the 2023 Olympic Games Teaching Procedures Task 1: What can you do (Talk about what we can do.) Purpose Let the students practice the modal verb can, Yes/No questions and short answers by asking each other what they can do. Steps Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity Step 1 1. Play the guitar 2. Play the video Watch and answer the questions Step 2 Give them the charts and ask them to do pair work. Work in pairs and ask each other what they can do. Then fill in chart 1. Step 3 Ask some pairs to give reports. Give reports about what they can do. Step 4 Teach them an English song Learn the English song and practice the use of can Task 2: Set up their own Volunteer Clubs for the Olympic Purpose Practice what questions by setting up the Volunteer Clubs Let them realize what they can do for the country from now on. Stimulate their motivation to help others. Supporting language What club do you want to join I want to join the…club. What can you do Can you… Step 1 Direct them to do the pair work and talk about what they can do for others Work in pairs and talk about what they can do to help others. Fill in chart 2. Step 2 Ask some pairs give reports. Report what they can do. Step 3 Tell them the volunteer clubs they can join. Ask them to discuss in groups. Read the material and discuss what club they want to join in groups. Then fill in chart 3 Step 4 Count the club members of each club according to their reports. The group leader talk about what club each group member wants to join. Task 3: What can we do for the 2023 Olympic Games Purpose Give the students opportunities to practice the target language by making their posters and giving their brief introductions of their clubs. Moral education: Let the students learn to help others. Step 1 Ask them go to the clubs they want to join and write their posters. Go to the club they what to join and talk about what they can do for the Olympic Games. Then write their posters. Step 2 Give them the opportunities to introduce their clubs. Then stick their posters on the billboard. Each group goes to the front with the posters to talk about what they can do for the Olympic Games. Step 3 Teach them the song once more with the new lyrics. 1. Fill in the blanks. Sing the song together. Assignment What can we do to help other Make posters.
