Be able to arrange 3 meals of a day in right way. Teaching content New standard English Module 5 Healthy food Unit 2 Target language Expressions: Meat and fish are healthy food. Juice ,water and milk are healthy drinks but Coke isn’t healthy drink. Eat noodles or rice AND some vegetables. Key vocabulary: healthy, favourite, noodles, candy, Coke, fish, hamburger, ice cream, rice, eat, drink, unhealthy Tasks Primary task: To get information from the reading material about healthy. Challenging task: Talk about favourite food in pair and think over if it is healthy food. Arranging 3 meals of a day in right way in groups. Teaching procedures Step 1 Speaking Let students choose a number and talk about the topics. Step 2 Review the vocabulary Show a video and ask two questions. Show students pictures and let them speak out the food’s names Vocabulary competition Step 3 Listening Listen to the tape and check the true sentences. Step 4 Reading Read after the tape. Repeat the text Fill in the blanks. Step 5 Speaking Work in pairs. Talk about the favourite food and drink. Step 6 Describe the picture. Describe the food pyramid. Step 7 Speaking Work in groups.
