Step 1: Revision
1. Ask some students to introduce themselves to the other students.
2. Ask and answer :
What’s your name
Where are you from
How old are you
Which class are you in
Steop 2: Language practice
1. Ask some students to read them loudly.
2. Work in groups to have a introduction.
3. Look at the pictures on the screen and complete the sentences. Then check the answers.
4. Look at the table and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
5. Show a picture on the screen and match the words with the pictures.
Step 3: Around the word
1. Tell students the difference between Chinese names and English names.
T: Most English people have three names: a first name, a middle name and the family name. the first name and the middle name are given names. Their family name comes last. For example, Jim Allan Green. Green is family name. Chinese names are different. Now read and find the difference in Around the world.
2. Then ask students to talk about the people in the pictures in activity 5.
Step 4: Module task
Introduce yourself. Ask and answer with a partner.
Step 5: Writing
Write some sentences about Jackie Chan. Then check with your partner.
Step 6: Do exercises
Finish off the WB Exercises.
Step 7: Sum up
Ask the students to talk about “What have you learned in this lesson〞 .
Sum up the different ways of “Be〞 and report it.
