Teaching steps: Step1: An English song Enjoy an English flash about 12 months and ask students to try singing after it . Step2: Looking and saying (1)Study 12 months and show students pictures about the festival in each month. (2)Finish Activity 2. Put the months of a year in the correct order. (3)Revise 4 seasons in a year and finish Activity 3. Match the month with the seasons. Step3: Memory challenge (1) .Give students the first letters to guess the month as quickly as possible. Have a competiton between 4 groups.. (2) .Show a short description and guess the month quickly. (3) . Finish Activity 1. Match the festivals with the months. Step4. Listening (1). Listen to the conversation in Activity 4, and check the dates. (2). Use "Did Tony...in..." structure to check the answers briefly. Step 5. Listening and reading (1). Listen to the conversation in Activity 5 and check the things Betty's grandfather had. (2). Read the conversation after the tape. Read it together and read it in roles. Step6. Pair work (1). Ask students to ask and answer in pairs. ---Did grandpa... ---Yes, he did. / No, he didn't. (2). Retell the conversation according to the table. Step7. Guessing (1). Show students some pictures and ask students to guess what I did on May Day using the sentence structure"Did you ... when you were in Ningbo" (2). Ask some students to act some actions and let the other students guess what their classmates did on May Day using the sentence structure"Did you ... On May Day" Step8.
