Romeo and Juliet As they were talking devotedly, Tybalt, Capulet's nephew, recognized Romeo's voice. He thought Romeo was a troublemaker. Then, drawing his sword, he wanted to kill this young fellow. In a hurry, Capulet came to stop him. He found Romeo had good behavior, and that he was worthy of a good young man in the city. Therefore, he persuaded Tybalt not to disappoint the others. Tybalt had to stay still but swore to himself that he would get rid of the man of the Montagues. Now Juliet knew she loved the son of Montague and felt uneasy. So did Romeo feel when realizing the girl he had fallen in love with was Capulet's daughter. But all this could not make him give up his love to her. The dance was not over until it was far into the night. One by one the guest departed. Although he had to leave Juliet, Romeo's heart was still with her. Unnoticed, he jumped over the back wall into Juliet's yard. The window of the upper level opened while he was thinking about how he would find Juliet. There appeared Juliet at the window. She did not know that Romeo was just below her. She spoke to herself, "Oh, Romeo, for my sake, deny your father, and change your name. If you don't want to do so, I'll change my family name of Capulet as long as you swear you love me forever." When Romeo heard Juliet expressing her heart, he was too excited and said, "I am listening to you. I will love you forever!" Juliet was shocked when hearing somebody speak to her from the darkness. When she saw it was Romeo, her face blushed red. She felt embarrassed and confessed, "Perhaps you think I am frivolous. However, you will find out eventually that I am much more truthful than those women of affected manners and pretended dignity." Romeo did not feel she had anything disgraceful. He swore to the Heaven he loved Juliet and that he would like to do anything for her. Finally, Juliet told Romeo, "If you marry me, I will send somebody to see you tomorrow. Please choose the best date for our wedding. I would like to follow you wherever you go!"
