B017_Hamlet10
The Tragedy of Hamlet At that time, an officer came in and brought a letter from Hamlet. Hamlet said that he had already come back to Denmark, and he would tell the king the reason why. When the king finished the letter, he was afraid and a little bit happy as well. He thought it was fortunate because now Laertes was standing with him. After Hamlet and his two escorts said good-bye to the nephew of the King of Norway, they continue their journey. Hamlet suspected that travel to England was a conspiracy, so he watched their actions closely. He suspected their secrets were in the attendant's letter. One night, while the two were sleeping, Hamlet stole their letter, and discovered that this was an order to the King of England to "Cut off Hamlet's head immediately!" Claudius planned to kill Hamlet through the hand of the King of England, who offered tributes to Denmark. He knew that the existence of Hamlet would be a threat to him. If Hamlet died in a foreign country, the people of Denmark and the Queen Getrude would have nothing to say. Hamlet cunningly forged a letter of his own to the King of England and orders him to kill the two attendants. Then he stamped the letter with his father's seal and returned it without being noticed. The next day, Hamlet's ship was met by pirates who attacked them fiercely. During the fighting, Hamlet jumped to the boat of pirates. They caught Hamlet and their ship departed. When they knew that Hamlet was a prince, they were polite to him and released him at the nearest harbor to Denmark. They hoped that the future king would pay them back with goodwill. So Hamlet returned to Denmark.
