一般现在时:表示现阶段经常发生的动作或存在的状态。
A. 用法:
1. 表示现阶段经常性或习惯性的动作。常与下列时间状语连用:often, usually, sometimes, always, seldom, never, every day, once a week.
2. 表示现在的性格,特征,能力或存在的状态。
I am much better now than before.
I like playing ping pong.
3. 表示客观事实或普遍真理。
The earth goes around the sun.
在时间状语从句和条件状语从句中,要用一般现在时表示将来的动作。
I’ll write to you as soon as I arrive in Hong Kong.
If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we will go to the Great Wall.
B. 结构:
1. 谓语动词为be动词。
肯定句:I am a student. You are a doctor. Tom is from England.
否定句:I am not a student. You aren’t a doctor. Tom isn’t from England.
疑问句:Am I a student? Are you a doctor? Is Tom from England?
Where are you come from?
回答:Yes, I am./ No, I am not. Yes, he is./ No, he isn’t. I come from London.
2. 谓语动词为实义动词。
肯定句:We go to school every day. Tom goes to school every day.
否定句:We don’t go to school every day. Tom doesn’t go to school every day.
疑问句:Do you go to school every day? Does Tom go to school every day?
回答:Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Yes, he does./ No, he doesn’t.
注意:当主语是第三人称单数时行为动词的一般现在时为下个模块的重点语法,此处只作了解。
