第2课时(Section A Grammar Focus4c),单 词instead,点拨,instead 做副词,意为“相反,代替”,修饰整个句,子做状语。如:Jack is ill.So I go instead.杰克生病了,因此换我去。He never works,instead he plays all day and all night.他从不工作,而是整日整夜地玩。,链接,instead of 是介词短语,意为“代替,而不是”,,后面常跟名词、代词或动名词。如:She goes shopping instead of staying at home.她没有待在家而是去购物了。I can go to the meeting instead of my sick sister.我可以代替我生病的妹妹去开会。,语 法1感叹句,点拨,感叹句一般是用来表示说话时的喜悦、惊讶等情感。,英语感叹句常用 what 和 how 引导,what 和 how 与所修饰的词置于句首,其他部分用陈述句语序。,(1)由 what 引导的感叹句,what 意为“多么”,用作定语,修饰名词(被强调部分),单数可数名词前要加不定冠词 a/an,复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。这类句子的结构形式是:What(a/an)adj.n.主语谓语!如:What a clever girl she is!多么聪明的姑娘呀!What an interesting story it is!多么有趣的故事呀!What good children they are!他们是多么好的孩子呀!What delicious food it is!多么美味的食物呀!,(2)由 how 引导的感叹句,how 意为“多么”,用作状语,修饰形容词或副词(被强调部分)。如果修饰形容词,则句中的谓语动词用系动词;如果 how修饰副词,则句中的谓语动词用行为动词,这类句子的结构形,式是:Howadj./adv.主语谓语!如:,How cold it is today!今天多么冷呀!,How nice the pictures are!多么漂亮的图画呀!How well she sings!她唱得多好呀!,How hard they are working now!他们干得多么起劲呀!,2宾语从句,点拨,(1)宾语从句的定义,宾语从句在复合句中起宾语的作用,可以做动词的宾语,也可以做介词的宾语。如:I heard that he would come here later on.我听说以后他会来这里。(做动词的宾语)He said nothing about who broke the window last night.关于昨晚谁打破的玻璃他什么也没有说。(做介词的宾语),(2)宾语从句中引导词(连词)的用法,宾语从句的引导词有 that(that 常可省略),whether,if。如:He told me(that)he would go to the college the next year.他,告诉我他明年上大学。,I dont know if there will be a bus any more.我不知道是否还,会有公交车。,Nobody knew whether he could pass the exam.没有人知道他,是否能通过考试。,that 引导的宾语从句,当由陈述句充当宾语从句时,用 that 引导。,.that 引导的宾语从句中,在非正式场合 that 可以省略。可 跟 that 从 句做宾语的动词有:say,think,insist,wish,hope,demand,imagine,wonder,know,suppose,see,believe,agree,admit,deny,expect,explain,order,command,feel,dream,suggest,hear,mean,notice,prefer,request,require,propose,declare,report等。如:,The boy believes that he will travel through space to other,planets.男孩相信他将通过太空去另一个星球旅行。,.在以下情况中 that 不能省略,a当句中的动词后接多于两个由 that 引导的宾语从句时,,第一个 that 可省,但后面的 that 不可省。如:,I believe(that)you have done your best and that things will,get better.我相信你已经尽了最大努力并且事情会变得更好。b当主句的谓语动词与 that 宾语从句之间有插入语时,that,一般不可省。如:,Just then I noticed,for the first time,that our master was,wearing his fine green coat and his black silk cap.就在那时我第一次注意到我们的师傅穿着好看的绿色外套并戴着黑色丝绸礼帽。,c当 that 从句是双宾语中的直接宾语时,that 不可省。如:I cant tell him that his mother died.我不能告诉他,他的妈妈,去世了。,d当 it 做形式宾语时,that 不可省。如:,She made it clear that she had nothing to do with him.她明确,表示,她和他无关。,e当宾语从句前置时,that 不可省。如:,That our team will win,I believe.我相信我们队会赢。,f 当 that 做 learn,suggest,explain,agree,wonder,prove,mean,state,feel,hold 等动词的宾语时,that 不可省。,whether,if 引导的宾语从句,.当由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时,用 if 或 whether 引导,,意为“是否”。如:,I dont know if/whether he still lives here after so many years.,我不知道这么多年后他是否还住在这儿。,.在有些情况下,whether 和 if 的用法有一定区别。awhether 引导的从句常可以与连词 or 或 or not 直接连用,,而 if 一般不能。如:,Let me know whether you can come or not.让我知道你是否,会来。,b当宾语从句提到句首时,只能用 whether 引导,而不能,用 if。如:,Whether it is true or not,I cant tell.我不能分辨它是否正确。cwhether 可以引导带 to 的不定式,if 则不能。如:I dont know whether to accept or refuse.我不知道是接受还,是拒绝。,dwhether 及其引导的成分可放于介词之后,做介词的宾,语,但 if 不能。如:,I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.我担心我是否伤害,了她的感情。,
