Step 1 Warming- up and lead-in
T: Good morning, Helen. Do you have a soccer ball?
No, I don’t.
T: Does she have a soccer ball? C: No, she doesn’t.
T: Excuse me, Alan, Do you have a basketball?
Yes, I do.
T: Does he have a basketball? C: Yes, he does.
T: Alan has a basketball, but Helen doesn’t have a soccer ball.
Write up the two sentences on the Bb. Ss read after the teacher.
T: Do you like watching TV? S1: Yes, I do. It is relaxing.
T: Do you like playing volleyball? S2: Yes, I do. It’s fun.
T: Do you like playing basketball? S3: Yes, I do. It’s fun.
T: Do you like math? S4: No, I don’t. It’s difficult.
T: Do you like math? S5: No, I don’t. It’s boring.
Step 2 Presentation 3a,3b
Make a sports survey in the class. Ask four Ss some questions.
T:Do you have a soccer ball? S1: Yes, I do.
T:Do you have a baseball? S2:No,I don’t ,but I have a baseball bat.
T:Do you have a ping-pong ball? S3:Yes,I do.
T;Do you have a tennis ball? S4: No, I don’t ,but I have a ping-pong bat.

Ask the Ss to look at the information in 3a.Write somesentences with but. Check the answers.
S1 has a soccer ball . S2 doesn’t have a baseball, but he has a baseball bat. S3 has a ping-pong ball. S4 doesn’has a tennis ball, but she has a ping-pong bat .
Step 4. Revision
T: I have a basketball.Because I like basketball.I think it’s interesting/fun …. Do you like it?
S1.Yes,I do.I t’s interesting
T: But I don’t like soccer. I think it’s boring .Do you like it ?
S2: Yes,I do. I think it’s exciting.
T: Yes,many boys like soccer because it’s exciting. What about volleyball?
S3. I don’t like volleyball, because I can’t play volleyball.
T: Yes, I think volleyball is too difficult,but many people like watching it in on TV. It’s relaxing.
Let the Ss revise the sports they know in pairs .

学生自己总结和梳理本单元的重要语言结构与功能,归纳 have/has 表示物品所属关系的基本句型,Do、does 分别应在什么时候使用。总结含有实义动词的陈述句和一般疑问句的基本结构并理解don’t 和 doesn’t 的缩略形式,并自我反思不会的还有哪些。
