Step1: Greetings and revision
1. Greeting the whole class as usual.
2.Let Ss work in groups and perform their dialogues using the target language they’ve learned in last class.e.g.
--- Is this your ruler/pencil/books?
---Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.
Step2: Present the new words
1.(Show some new words to Ss.)
baseball n.棒球 watch n. 表,手表
ID card 学生卡,身份证
notebook n. 笔记本 card n. 卡片
computer n. 计算机 ring n. 戒指
game n. 游戏,运动,比赛 bag n.袋, 包
Let the Ss read these new words one by one. Then ask them to remember them by heart.
2. Ask the Ss to look at the pictures on page16,1a, let them match the wordsin the box with the objects in the picture by writing the letter of the objects in the blank.
Step3 Ask and answer
Ask the Ss to read the conversations in 1b together, then let them work in pairs and practice the conversations using the other words in the picture.
Step4 : Listening
1. Let Ss look at the words in 1a, play the recording for the first time, Ss only listen. Play the recording again, Ss try to circle the things they heard.
Check the answers.
2. Play the recording for the third time, ask the Ss to write the things belong to Linda or Mike.
Check the answers.
Step5: Pairwork
Ask Ss work in pairs. One student plays Linda, another plays Mike. Make conversations about the things in 1d. Then change roles
After each student has played both of the two roles, ask some pairs to show their conversations in front of the class.
Step6 . Summary
Step7. Homework
1.Practice the conversations in this class.
2. Memorize the new words in this part.
