Unit 2 Can I help you? Lesson 11 教学设计 I. Teaching Aims A. Knowledge objectives 1. To learn the new words and phrases: a pair of , short, pants, big, good, take, 2. To learn the new sentences:   What can I do for you? I want to buy... How about this one? How much are they? 3. Grammar: To go on to learn how to express the present tense.  B. Ability objectives 1. To practice the new words, phrases and sentences in pairs or in groups.  2. To use the new words, phrases or sentences in the real life.  C. Emotions and values To educate students to go shopping politely. II. Main and difficulties  1. To say and use the new words, phrases or sentences correctly.  2. To learn how to communicate with the salesman in shop. III. Teaching Aids A computer, screen projector, some pictures , ppt, textbook Ⅳ.Teaching process   Step 1: Warming-up   1. Greetings to the whole class.   2. Sing and enjoy a nice song together:  Step 2:Presentation   1. Play a guessing game: a riddle      Look at the riddle and guess what they are. Answer: motorbike (Change the last para of the text into a riddle)  2. Discuss: T: What’s this in English?   How about this one?   How much is it? Ss: I want to buy this yellow one. It’s eighty-five yuan.  (It’s ...yuan)  3. To know about what GaoWei and his classmates did last Saturday..  4. Discuss:  T: Can I help you? Ss: I want a pair of short pants, please. T: How about this pair? Ss: Can I try them on? T:Sure. Ss: They are good. How much are they? T: They are sixty-five yuan. Ss: I’ll take them. T: Thank you. ( enable the students to think  how to communicate with salesman and how to ask the price of goods )   Step 3: Practice  1. Play a game: act and guess the goods of the pictures, and speak it in English. 2. To watch a video and think about some questions.  3. To ask students to describe how to buy  some goods and ask their price. Step 4: Consolidation  1. To finish a writing exercise : fill into the blanks based on the text just learned.  2. To remember the new words and new sentences. Step 5: Summary  To ask the students to learn these sentences and practice them in real world. Step 6: Homework  1. Listen to the tape and retell the passage.  2.To go shopping with your parents and experience the environment of shopping.
