Difficult points The relevant words and dialogues. Teaching Procedure Step 1 Listen and number T: Binbin and Joy want to do many things on New Year’s Day. Look at the pictures. What does Binbin want to do? What does Joy want to do? S: Binbin wants to … Joy wants to … 设计意图:看图说话一个是巩固刚刚学习的6个动词词组,再则是为听音标号做好铺垫。 T: Which picture is No 1? Let’s listen and number. 学生听音标号,班内校正,及时评价 设计意图:充分利用教材现有的图片培养学生看图说话的能力,同时对将要听到的内容进行预测。 Step 2 Tick and talk T: There are many special days in a year. What do you want to do on the special days? Divide the class into groups of three or four to finish the task. Ask all of the students to take part in the discussion. Step 5 Listen and answer 1. Play the audiotape and ask the students to listen carefully. 2. Pick some students out to answer the questions. Explain how to show ways and show some useful phrases. Step 6 Read and comprehension 1. Lead the students to understand the dialogue sentence by sentence. 2. Ask the students to read the dialogue together. But before that, make sure the students can pronounce the words in this lesson correctly. Step 7 Sum up 1. Let the students close their books. Ask them to say what they learned in this lesson. Ask some volunteers to write on the blackboard. 2. Do some exercises. Step 8 Homework 1. Finish off the exercises in the textbook. 2. Go on the next reading in the student book.
