Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greeting:
T: Good morning, girls and boys.
2. Lead-in
What do you think people should do for these health problems?

Step 2: Speaking
T: Work in pairs. Role-play a doctor and patient with your partner.
Example:
A: Hello there. So, what’s the matter?
B: I have a headache and a runny nose.
A: Do you have a fever?
B: I don’t think so.
A: Let’s see. No. You don’t have a fever. Open your mouth and say “Ah”.
B: Ah.
A: You have a cold. You should get plenty of rest. You should drink a lot of water, too. Here’s some medicine for you. Take it once a day in the morning.
Step 3: Practice
If you are a patient, you go to the hospital, what will you say to the doctor?
If you are a doctor, you have a patient, what will you say to the patient?
Homework
1. Memory all the key words and expressions.
2. Do a survey about healthy habits.
3. Ask teachers what are the common diseases.
4. Tell your parents what we have learned today.
