Designation:F222515An American National StandardStandard Safety Specification forConsumer Trampoline Enclosures1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F2225;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision,the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This safety specification covers the components,assembly,use,labeling,and performance requirements ofconsumer trampoline enclosures(see Safety SpecificationF381).1.2 This specification is applicable to trampoline enclosuresto be sold as an accessory to or packaged with trampolines of(1)a minimum bed size of 3300 in.2(2.1 m2),(2)a minimumheight of 20 in.(510 mm),(3)intended for the purpose ofcontinuous,vertical jumping activities,and(4)intended forconsumer use.1.3 This specification includes the following alone will not necessarily prevent all injuries.1.5 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.6 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to thetest methods portion of this specification.This standard doesnot purport to
