Designation:F292913Standard Specification forCrosslinked Polyethylene(PEX)Tubing of 0.070 in.Wall andFittings for Radiant Heating Systems up to 75 psig1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F2929;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision,the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers 0.070 in.wall thickness cross-linked polyethylene(PEX)tubing that is outside diametercontrolled,and intended for non-potable radiant heating appli-cations for pressures up to 75 psig in sizes58NTS(nominaltubing size)and78NTS.This specification also includesfittings that are specifically designed for this 0.070 in.-wallPEX tubing.Only 75-psig relief valves shall be used with thistubing.Included in this specification are requirements and testmethods for material,workmanship,dimensions,burstpressure,hydrostatic sustained pressure,environmental stresscracking,stabilizer functionality,bent-tube hydrostaticpressure,excessive temperature and degree of crosslinking.Requirements for tubing markings are also given.This tubingdoes not have an oxygen diffusion barrier layer and shall not beused in systems that require a barrier layer.This tubing is notintended for field bending at temperatures above 120F(49C).1.2 The text of this specification references notes,footnotes,and appendixes,which provide explanatory material.Thesenotes and footnotes(excluding those in tables and figures)shallnot be considered as requirements of the specification.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.4 The following safety hazards
