designation indicates the yearof original adoption or,in the case of revision,the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope*1.1 This specification covers zinc alloys in ingot form forremelting for the manufacture of Spin Castings as specified anddesignated,as shown in Table 1.Seven alloy compositions arespecified,designated as follows:CommonTraditionalUNSSpin Casting Alloy SC-A.Z35550Spin Casting Alloy SC-B.Z35551Spin Casting Alloy SC-C.Z35534Spin Casting Alloy SC-DHJ10Z35547Spin Casting Alloy SC-EHJ20Z35548Spin Casting Alloy SC-FHJ40Z35552ZA-73.Z365001.2 Zinc alloys#2,#3,#5,and ZA-8 specified in Specifi-cation B240 are also used in the spin casting process.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard.The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents;therefore,eachsystem shall be used independently of the other.Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any,associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to become familiarwith all hazards including those identified in the appropriateMaterial Safety Data Sheet(MSDS)for this product/materialas provided by the manufacturer,to establish appropriatesafety and health practices,and determine the applicability ofregulatory
