Designation:C 1476 06Standard Test Method forAnalysis of Urine for Technetium-99 by Inductively CoupledPlasma-Mass Spectrometry1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 1476;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon(e)indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the con-centration of technetium-99 in urine using inductively coupledplasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).This test method can beused to support uranium enrichment and reclamation facilitybioassay programs.1.2 The minimum detectable concentration for this testmethod, using a quadrupole ICP-MS,is approximately 1.0ng/L(0.62 Bq/L).1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any, associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2.Referenced
