follows:4.1.1 Type IWoven glass cloth with silicone adhesive.4.1.1.1 Grade A0.18 mm(0.007 in.).4.1.1.2 Grade B0.25 mm(0.010 in.).4.1.2 Type IIWoven glass cloth impregnated withpolytetrafluoroethylene,silicone adhesive,nominal thickness0.13 mm(0.005 in.).5.Materials and Manufacture5.1 The tape backing shall consist of woven glass fibers.5.2 The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive coating shall besmooth and uniform and as free from lumps and bare spots asbest commercial practice will permit.The adhesive shall nottransfer when the tape is unwound from the roll.6.Requirements6.1 All tapes shall meet the requirements given in Table 1for the types specified.7.Standard Rolls7.1 The standard widths and lengths shall be selected fromthe following:7.1.1 and lengths are permissible ifagreed upon between the purchaser and seller.8.Test Methods8.1 The selection of rolls,conditioning,and testing shall bein accordance with Test Methods D1000.9.Rejection9.1 If the test results of any roll do not conform to therequirements prescribed in the specification,two additionalrolls shall be selected and tested.If one of the two additionalsample rolls also does not conform to the requirements,the lotmay be rejected at the option of the purchaser.1This specification is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee D09 onElectrical
