epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers thermoplastic chlorinatedpolyethylene(CM)compounds suitable for use as an outercovering or jacket on electrical cables.1.2 These jacket materials are suitable for use on cableswhich will be installed at temperatures above 35C.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to h.4.Physical Properties4.1 Thermoplastic jackets shall conform to the requirementsfor physical properties specified in Table 1.4.2 When used on single-conductor non-shielded cablerated 2001 to 5000 V phase to phase,the jacket shall alsoconform to the requirements for surface resistivity and U-benddischarge prescribed in Table 2.5.Sunlight and Weather Resistance Requirements5.1 If sunlight and weather resistance are required ofthejackets,the jackets shall conform to the requirementsspecified in Table 3.6.Sampling6.1 Sample the jacket in accordance with Methods D2633.7.Test Methods7.1 Test the jacket in accordance with Methods D2633.Ifthe sunlight and weather resistance test is required,perform itin accordance with Practice D1499 and Practice G153.8.Keywords8.1chlorinated
