Designation:D290221An American National StandardStandard Specification forFluoropolymer Resin Heat-Shrinkable Tubing for ElectricalInsulation1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D2902;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope*1.1 This specification applies to flexible heat-shrinkableextruded tubing made from tetrafluoroethylene resin,copoly-mer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene, and fromperfluoroalkoxy resin for use as electrical insulation.Thisspecification excludes crosslinked poly(vinylidene fluoride)and poly(vinylidene fluoride)copolymer which are coveredunder Specification D3144.NOTE1This standard is similar but not identical to IEC 60684-3-240.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard, except temperature, which shall be stated indegrees Celsius. The values given in parentheses are math-ematical conversions to SI units that are provided for informa-tion only and are not considered standard.1.3 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards,Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBarriers to Trade(TBT)Committee.2.Referenced
