Designation:D6352191Standard Test Method forBoiling Range Distribution of Petroleum Distillates inBoiling Range from 174 C to 700 C by GasChromatography1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D6352;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1NOTEEditorially added research report information to Table 3 in May 2020.1.Scope*1.1 This test method covers the determination of the boilingrange distribution of petroleum distillate fractions. The testmethod is applicable to petroleum distillate fractions having aninitial boiling point greater than 174 C(345 F)and a finalboiling point of less than 700 C(1292 F)(C10 to C90)atatmospheric pressure as measured by this test method.1.2 The test method is not applicable for the analysis ofpetroleum or petroleum products containing low molecularweight components(for example naphthas, reformates, gasolines, crude oils).Materials containing heterogeneouscomponents(for example alcohols, ethers, acids,or esters)orresidue are not to be analyzed by this test method.See TestMethods D3710,D2887,or D5307 for possible applicability toanalysis of these types of materials.1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard. The values stated in inch-pound units are for infor-mation only and may be included as parenthetical values.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any, associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety, health, and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards,Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBarriers to Trade(TBT)Committee.2.Referenced Documents2.1 ASTM Standards:2D86 Test Method for Distillation of Petroleum Products andLiquid Fuels at Atmospheric PressureD1160 Test Method for Distillation of
