reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This guide is for the packaging and labeling of cannabisflowers,resins,and preparations derived therefrom for sale toadult consumers,legally authorized medical users,and care-givers in a business-to-consumer/patient/caregiver retail envi-ronment and other legal distribution channels.This includeslabeling of products,regardless of packaging format,that willbe purchased by adults in retail dispensaries,pharmacies,orother distribution methods(for example,postal shipment).1.2 This guide does not address packaging or labelingspecific to non-consumer-facing transactions(for example,products packaged for transfer between business entities,including growers,processors,manufacturers,wholesalers,andretailers).1.3 This guide incorporates relevant materials previouslypublished in other industry resources such as ASTM Commit-tees D10 and F02,Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards(FOCUS),American Herbal Products Association(AHPA),Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA),andvarious sanctioned working group findings and publications(for example,Council on Responsible Cannabis Regulation(CRCR),National Cannabis Industry Association(NCIA),andso forth).1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any,associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety,health,and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with
