change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This test method is commonly referred to as the Cum-mins M11 High Soot Test(HST).The test method defines aheavy-duty diesel engine test procedure conducted under highsoot conditions to evaluate oil performance with regard tovalve train wear,sludge deposits,and oil filter plugging.21.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard.The values given in parentheses are for informationonly.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any,associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of
