Units).12iiiFOREWORDThe American National Standards Committee B107,Socket Wrenches and Drives,under spon-sorshipof TheAmericanSociety ofMechanical Engineers,wasreorganized asanASME StandardsCommittee and its title was changed to Hand Tools and Accessories.In 1996,its scope wasexpanded to include safety considerations.The purposes of this Standard are to define dimensional,performance,and safety requirementsspecifically applicable to spin type screwdriver grip nutdrivers,and to specify test methods toevaluate performance relating to the defined requirements.This Standard is a revision of B107.12-1997,Nutdrivers(Spin Type,Screwdriver Grip)(InchSeries).A principal change in this edition of the Standard is the inclusion of metric information,previouslycontainedinB107.35M-1997.Updatedreferences,finishrequirements,anddimensionaldata are included.The format of this Standard is in accordance with The ASME Codes and Standards WritingGuide 2000.Requests for interpretations of the technical requirements,and suggestions for theimprovement of this Standard,should be addressed to The American Society of
