is to provide standardsing,the manufacturer will not assume responsibility for fieldfor more rigorously tested line pipe having greater tensilewelding.d.Metric units in this specification are shown in italic type and in the text and most tables in parentheses.Outside diameters andwall thicknesses are converted from inch dimensions.The converted values are rounded to the nearest 0.1 mm for diameters lessthan 18 in.and to the nearest 1.0 mm for diameters 18 in.and larger.Wall thicknesses are rounded to the nearest 0.1 mm.Metric inside diameters and drift diameters are calculated from the metrie outside diameters and wall thicknesses and roundedto the nearest 0.】mm.Metric plain-end weights are calculated from the metric outside diameters and wall thicknesses by the following formula high-test line pipepatent.in grades X42,X46,X52,X56,X60,X65,X70.and gradesintermediate thereto.The chemical composition and certain1.4 API specifications may be used by anyone desiring tophysical properties of intermediate grades are subject todo so.and every effort has been made by the Institute toagreement between the purchaser and manufacturer.Theassure the accuracy and reliability of the data contained inagreed upon requirements must be consistent with the corthem.However,the Institute makes no representation,war-responding requirements for grades X42,X46,X52.X56.ranty or guarantee in connection with the publication of anyX60.X65 and X70.Pipe manufactured as grade X60 or higherAPI specification and hereby expressly disclaims any liabilityshall not be substituted for pipe ordered
